We have a created a new role to support our expanding work programme commissioning services for residents affected by drugs, alcohol and multiple vulnerabilities. We are looking for a positive and enthusiastic person to help manage and administer the increasing number of grants we receive and our expanding and highly regarded training programme.
The Team
The new Commissioning Support Officer role will be part of the Drugs and Alcohol Team within the Communities Service in Cornwall Council, which supports the wider Community Safety Partnership.. We are a creative and hardworking team from a range of backgrounds who look out for each other, value difference and prioritise wellbeing.
The Role
The Commissioning Support Officer will be responsible for supporting our Strategy Co-ordinators in co-ordinating all of the financial and performance information required to report against the grants we receive and in administering the training programme. This involves providing excellent customer care to a wide range of people from organisations across Cornwall and services within Cornwall Council.
You will support the team’s strong focus on using learning and reflection as a means for improving practice and in our efforts to create and model a culture of honesty, respect, resourcefulness and creativity.
Through openness, cultural sensitivity and valuing diversity, you will be part of a team which seeks to raise the profile of the work done to reduce the harm of drugs and alcohol for local residents and to improve the experience of people with multiple vulnerabilities.
A background in business support, administration, finance and/or contract management is desirable, but training can be provided in some areas.
