In fact, nearly a quarter of adults in Cornwall drink above recommended healthy levels, and our alcohol related hospital admissions went up by 6% last year.  This is better than the regional and national increase of 9%, but it is still nothing to be proud of.

For this reason, Cornwall has an Alcohol Strategy.  This is intended to enable people to enjoy the benefit of alcohol, while reducing the harm it can cause.  The strategy is based on a thorough look at the evidence each year in the ‘Cornwall Alcohol Needs Assessment’
