Together for Families – The Troubled Families Programme in Cornwall

Together for Families is a multi agency programme that aims to engage and support families that experience multiple and complex challenges.

Taking a Whole Family approach, the programme brings together a range of new and existing services that can help families overcome challenges and work towards their own positive outcomes.

Using research of the overall index of deprivation it is estimated that there are 1270 families across Cornwall that meet the criteria for the Together for Families Programme.

“A troubled family is one that has serious problems – including parents not working, mental health problems, and children not in school – and causes serious problems, such as crime and anti-social behaviour – all of which costs local services a lot of time and money routinely responding to these problems”.
