The John Daniel Centre is a warm welcoming space in the heart of the Penzance community. The space, which is run by Cornwall Council, is a collaboration between different agencies and organisations working across Penzance to meet the needs of those within our community.
The John Daniel Centre is a community space used for appointments, training, hot-desking and collaborative working. Everyone is welcome and there is a wide range of services and support available.
Services are open to everybody and you are welcome to come into the centre and enquire about support with our reception staff. We will then be able to sign-post you to the most appropriate service.
We run community drop-in sessions which include free information about benefits, financial budgeting, tenancy advice, dental advice, water bills, energy advice and advice with health and well-being.
As well as advice the centre also provides fun activities such as dance classes, free exercise sessions and pottery classes.
Launched in November 2024, this exciting project for Penzance, has gone from strength to strength, with multiple organisations and charities getting involved to work together to deliver accessible and inclusive care and support for the local community, under one roof.
Here are some examples of the services offered here throughout the week. These operate at different times of the week so please enquire when they are available.
The centre is open Monday to Thursday 9am to 4pm and Friday 9am to 1pm. If you would like to book one of the meeting rooms or find out how you can use this community space, please read the leaflet below or email: [email protected]
