Kerry Whincup from the Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence (DASV) Team was nominated for the West Country Women Awards 2023 in the Phoenix Award category and is a finalist for the award.
Kerry was nominated due to her recent work on the MARAC and her passion for improving our response to those with multiple vulnerabilities by facilitating the development of healthy relationship programmes for adults with multiple and complex needs. She has also rolled out bystander interventions across the Peninsula and supported the development of perpetrator programmes for those who have engaged in abusive behaviour.
The West Country Women Awards recognise and celebrate the outstanding achievement of women in the West Country. The Phoenix Award specifically celebrates strong and resilient women who have risen from the ashes to achieve success.
We are very proud of Kerry for becoming a finalist in this award, it is a testament to her as an individual and all that she brings to our work. We will be keeping our fingers crossed for her winning the award.
