Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence in the workplace There are a number of things you can do to support your staff if they are experiencing domestic abuse and/or sexual violence.

This ToolKit gives clear guidance and information for employers to be able to identify, respond and support staff who disclose or who are suspected to be experiencing domestic abuse and/or sexual violence.

Domestic Abuse in the Workplace Toolkit

One of the quickest ways to ensure that you are supporting staff appropriately, is to provide employees with a DASV Employee Policy. We have created a template version for you to download and add to/amend to suit your needs. If you need any additional support or guidance please do not hesitate to contact Safer Cornwall Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence Team.

Domestic abuse and sexual violence has become even more of a pressing concern for employers, due to the increase in home working for many employees. Immediately, individuals living with domestic abuse or sexual violence have been further isolated and face new risks and barriers to accessing support.

We have developed some brief guidance on how to respond to an employee, should they disclose domestic abuse or sexual violence, as well as guidance on how to ask the question, if you have concerns that one of your employees is experiencing domestic abuse or sexual violence.
